How to build a GSM repeater on your own?

Another way to increase cellular signal is to build a repeater on your own. To do this, you need to install two antennas (both inside and outside - see Fig. 1 and 2) connected by a cable. You can take two J-pole antennas at 900 MHz. To choose the right antenna, you need to know at what frequency your mobile operator works. You can determine the frequency of your operator using our Helper. You can buy such antennas at any online radio store. Install one antenna outside the window or on the roof (find the place where the signal is the best), and the other antenna to be situated in the room.

Then, you need to connect the antennas with cable. The cable should be thick so that the signal could pass through it without interference. For this purpose, the most suitable is coaxial cable shown in Figure 3. Thus, by setting this simple mechanism, the cellular signal will be improved. However, you should understand that the principle of this installation is directed only to transmit the available signal, but not to boost it.

Assuming that in the most excellent location your phone shows 2 sticks, it won’t show 5 sticks (bars) indoors - two is the maximum. In order to amplify a signal reception, and improve the communication quality, you need more powerful device such as a GSM booster. Our GSM boosters are tested and certified devices, which have helped to solve the problem of bad connection to many people. This is also confirmed by numerous customer reviews.

What model of 900 MHz GSM booster can you recommend?

Hi, my name is Kelly and I am really not the expert in technical stuff. Sometimes it seems to me that my toaster can kill me one day. So when I found out that signal coverage in my bedroom is awful I thought that this is normal. So I tried to get used to it and adapt but in the end I've got tired of missed and dropped calls so I’ve searched in the web and found an inexpensive 900 MHz gsm booster
